Slicing Up Eyeballs: Machinarium →
beadebaser: So I think I’m gonna start reviewing stuff. I play a lot of video games and listen to a lot of music, and I always want to tell people about cool things so this seems like a natural evolution for my tumblr. And now that I’m out of school I actually have time to do this sort of thing so… REVIEW OF… Ah, the demo was so sweet!  I should have taken that deal when it was...

What I Played in 2010
Using this list, I went through and picked out all the games I played.  Here they are, with small reviews of what I thought.  I saw Notch do this, and thought it was a pretty good idea. Final Fantasy XIII I was disappointed with most of this game.  The scenery and characters looked really pretty, and the story was great, but battles were tedious and repetitive.  Game was left finished. 2/5 ...

OH DARN
I’ve never played Metal Gear Solid 1.  I’ve definitely been wanting to, but I’ve never found it in stores.  But more importantly, something was just spoiled for me.  The method used to defeat Psychomantis.  BALLS!!  I really wished I could’ve experienced that boss for real.  Now he will forever be spoiled for me.  SPOILED!!!!  ARGH!!!

Eurogamer review of Super Mario All-Stars
Gameroni: I’m pretty sure that in the Eurogamer review, he said “ground pound” when he simply meant “stomp,” which isn’t quite as stupid as what you interpreted him to mean.  The screenshot thing you pointed out was unfortunate, though. Ah, true.  I forget that you can’t kill enemies in SMB2 with stomping.  Still, confusing the ground-pound with the...

“Mario’s ground-pound attack is missing, replaced by a system that requires you...”
– Eurogamer, Simon Parkin: Review: Super Mario All-Stars (page 2) [December 17th, 2010] The ground-pound attack hasn’t been “replaced” in Super Mario Bros. 2. You can’t replace something that didn’t exist until almost a decade later in Super Mario 64. Also: using the original 8-bit screenshots in a...
