How to make your own 3DS GameCube controller mod ⊟
The immediate question most ask after seeing our posts about 3DS GameCube controller mods is “How do I get one?” If you’re comfortable with hacking the hardware, DekuNukem posted instructions and open source code for making your own mod with $12 in parts (not including the system and controller).
If that sounds like a complete nightmare to you, DekuNukem is accepting (a limited number of) requests from people who want to send in their 3DSes to have them modded. Watch a video of the setup in action after the break:
I don’t know why anyone would want a clunky Gamecub controller when the controls on the 3DS are so comfortable and refined. I guess if you’re a pansy who can’t smash without c-sticking, this is the mod for you.
But seriously, everything feels so good on the 3DS, ya’ll should just get used to it.
